A proudly South African aquaculture enterprise based in Itsani, Thohoyandou.
Dzindi Fish Farm (Pty) Ltd is a proudly South African aquaculture enterprise based in Limpopo. Founded on the belief that sustainable fish farming can transform rural communities, we have grown from a single pond into a multi-tank operation supplying fresh fish, fingerlings and ornamental species to households, farmers, restaurants and traders.
Our farm integrates modern recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) — ensuring clean, efficient and ethical production year-round. We don't just raise fish; we build livelihoods.
Every pond we build and every fish we raise feeds into our wider mission of food security for our region.
Clean, efficient water management that keeps our fish healthy and our footprint small.
Rooted in Thohoyandou, growing by creating opportunity for the people around us.
Healthy fish, raised the right way — no shortcuts.
"I've always been passionate about aquaculture — there's something special about watching a single pond grow into a system that can feed families. I started Dzindi Fish Farm to bring that passion home to Thohoyandou: to raise healthy, hormone-free fish the right way, and to walk alongside our community every step of the way — from the household stocking their first pond, to the next generation of farmers we mentor into the industry."
— Vhutshilo Mudau, Founder
Four quick choices and you'll have a real estimate — no supplier codes, no guessing.
This decides how much equipment your pond needs to keep water quality stable at your target stocking density.
We've pre-checked what your production system typically needs — add or remove anything to match your setup. Pricing is indicative, based on current South African retail prices.
We don't currently offer site preparation for welded-mesh ponds or excavation for earthen ponds. Clearing, levelling and access must be arranged independently, ahead of your build date — we're happy to advise on what your site will need.
Building a large dam instead of a tank? We supply heavy-duty liners cut to your exact excavation. Every site is different, so these are quoted on request once we have your measurements.
